Culture Days Free Percussion Workshop
Saturday September 28, 1pm to 3:30pm
The Array Space, 155 Walnut Avenue, M6J 3W3
416 532 3019

Rick Sacks hosts a hands on workshop to get the rhythm of your spirit channeled through your body into drums, marimba, timpani, gongs, cowbells, woodblocks, triangles, shakers, bells, xylophone and more.

The workshops are intended to be fun and non-threatening. Using performance techniques gleaned from contemporary chamber music, improvisation, experimentation, Pop, Rock and World Music, participants create soundscapes, ambient and groove based musical compositions.

Part of Culture Days, this Free event is presented by percussionist and Array Artistic Director Rick Sacks. Visit the Array Space and play percussion instruments from all over the world. This hands-on workshop is for all ages and levels from beginner to accomplished percussionist. Composers, come down and get that information you need to use and notate for percussion. Learn about the ways to get a great ‘sound’ and join in on group improvisation. Visit to find out about the next Percussion For Everyone Workshop.
