Not A Half Stepper – See Through 4 – Rat-drifting 4

The See Through 4 is made up of exceptional improvisers – Nick Fraser (percussion), Pete Johnston (string bass), Marilyn Lerner (piano), and Karen Ng (reeds) – working out their spontaneous compositions in relation to notated material by Pete Johnston.  Johnston’s compositions for improvisers are all his own but they do radiate the lessons he’s learned from the likes of Carla Bley, Ornette Coleman, and the Jimmy Giuffre 3.
