Toccata and Postlude

Adam Filaber is a composer and multi-instrumentalist based in Toronto. Having recently graduated with a guitar performance degree from Humber, he will be pursuing his studies in composition in the fall at the University of Toronto. Besides being a composer and guitarist, Adam is also an amateur cellist and pianist and he performs with the Etobicoke Philharmonic among other ensembles. Currently, Adam is studying composition with Roger Bergs and piano with Christina M. Faye. Some of the organizations and school ensembles Adam has written for are: Univox Choir, Spectrum Music, Humber College’s “A” Band, David Occhipinti’s Chamber Ensemble, Drew Jurecka’s Chamber String Ensemble, Rebekah Wolskstein’s String Ensemble and Matt Brubeck’s Jazz Ensemble as well as various TDSB school string orchestras. He has also won various awards including the Duke Ellington Society Scholarship and the Dave Stillwell Arranging Award.
As a hobby, Adam enjoys learning various instruments. Some of his past choices were flute, clarinet, french horn, alto/tenor/baritone saxophone, double bass, electric bass and mandolin.
